Brake fluid is intended as a filler in all brake clutch and other hydraulic systems and mechanisms. It is miscible with other brake fluids of the corresponding class. DOT3 - designed for operation in the temperature range -50°C to 240°C. Clear liquid with a hint of yellow pungent aroma. Used undiluted.
DOT 3 is mostly found only in older vehicles. Its dry boiling point is 205 °C, while its wet boiling point is 140 °C. The wet boiling point indicates the boiling temperature of a solution of brake fluid and 3.5% water. Its viscosity is around 1500 mm²/s. The biggest advantage of this class is its lower aggressiveness towards the vehicle's engine gasket.
